History
The CUCrC was formed in 1897 and organises Yachting, Dinghy Sailing and Windsurfing for members of Cambridge University. Casual Sailing exists to cater for all those who can’t give over 3 days a week to the University team sailing but still want to sail close to Cambridge. We have access to a good range of boats and other equipment such as wetsuits and buoyancy aids and welcome sailors of any ability (including total beginners). Trips are normally run at least once a week to Grafham water, throughout the full terms, and there is a dedicated band of vacation sailors. Trips are usually either Friday afternoons or a full-day trip at the weekends. We also run several full-day trips during May Week.
