History
The earliest records of sailing at Brigham date from 1926. The Driffield Times records carnival events at Brigham and Driffield held on August Bank Holiday Monday in the years 1926, 1927 and 1928. The Driffield Sailing Club was formed around July 1926 and the “Loulia Cup” dates from this time and is still raced for on August Bank Holiday Monday. The annual carnival events were held togethere with the ‘River Hull Boat Club’.
