History
Royal Temple Yacht Club was founded in 1857 on the Temple Steps in the City of London. The Club moved to Ramsgate in 1897 to its current location overlooking the Royal Harbour. The club is open all year round and visitors are always welcome. The club is managed by a committee and membership now exceeds 700. We have a very active IRC yacht racing and cruising section. Racing is run under both IRC and a Temple handicap system for our cruising class. The clubhouse provides excellent facilities for both members and visitors and is now widely used for parties, conferencing and functions. We do accept bookings for weekday business conferences and meetings from non members and can provide full catering facilities upon request.
