The Rossendale Valley Sailing Club located at Clowbridge near Burnley, high on the East Lancashire moors provides an excellent high wind venue for windsurfing and sailing. The club's location close to the Pennine Bridleway makes it an ideal access point for horse riding, hiking and mountain biking. The club offers excellent access to Clowbridge Reservoir and the surrounding area for sailing and other leisure activities. United Utilities and Lancashire County Council have invested in the area to provide access to the numerous concessionary bridleways and footpaths that criss-cross the moors. Disabled parking close to the easy access perimeter path provides excellent access for people with poor mobility.
