Durleigh Sailing Club was founded at Hawkridge Reservoir in 1962 and moved to Durleigh in 1992. The clubhouse was built with the help of a grant from the Foundation for Sport and the Arts. The club is run and managed on an entirely voluntary basis. We are a small, friendly, family club sailing on the Durleigh Reservoir, Near Bridgwater with a sailing area of about 60 acres. The water level stays high and we have sailed right through most of the worst summer droughts. The Club House, with superb views of the water, has a club room, galley, changing rooms, showers, toilets and ample parking as well as a boat park and a slipway nearby for easy launching.
