History

The Ephraim Yacht Club is Door County's family-oriented community sailing center, open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Founded in 1906, the EYC offers sailing lessons for children and adults, has 40 sailboats available for member use, and promotes amateur sailing competition on beautiful Eagle Harbor in the historic Village of Ephraim. Membership is inexpensive and is open to all. The primary purposes of the EYC are education in the sport of sailing and the promotion of amateur sailboat racing. The EYC offers lessons from mid-June to mid-August. Its endowment helps provide funds for lessons for community scholarship recipients, to maintain its fleet of sailboats, and for capital improvements to its clubhouse and dock.
