The Venice Yacht Club was founded in 1951 and is one of the 13 original members of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs. We are a Sarasota County private club and a favorite port of call for reciprocal members from other Florida yacht clubs. Venice is one of the few clubs that has the distinction of being right on the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) with easy accessibility to both the Gulf of Mexico and the gulf beaches. One may bicycle downtown to 'The Avenue' for some very unique shopping in its many boutiques and gift shops. The area also offers an art gallery ,Venice Theater, antique shops, library and many restaurants (bicycles are available for guests' use).
Polygyros is the capital of the Prefecture of Halkidiki. The town is built in the shape of an amphitheatre, on a plateau on the south west side of the mountain Holomontas amidst a scenic landscape full of pines, olive-trees and fruit-trees.
